Daemen College hosted an International Research Forum this week. When presentation finished we took the cohorts to visit Niagara Falls. There is lots of construction happening at the falls, plus it was so misty that Horseshoe Falls was barely visible but it was still incredible. One visitor from Mexico said, “I have water from Niagara in my hair! I am happy!” So I guess it was worth it.

Clean Up Day. One Day/One Community. The fruit belt is an area in Buffalo. The streets are all named after fruit trees. It is a very poor neighborhood with lots of character and hope. The students at Daemen Volunteer at the schools and community centers and today in nasty rain they set out to clean the playground. These are foot square works of art created by the neighborhood kids that line the playground at Locust Street Art Center.
